Walking the Zebra crossing

Beatle fans still walk daily across the Zebra crossing which was featured on a well-known Beatles Album many years ago.

Sue strides like a Beatle across the Zebra.

Crosswalk in need of paint.

Well used Zebra cross-walk from other side of street.

Web-Cam is just above the Yellow light on left, and by the recording studio there. That accounts for lots of the foot-traffic here!

Approaching the Beatle's recording studio, one sees autographs galore.

Sue dances on steps of studio.

Sue chats up a group (The KEYS) after they finish their recording session.

THE PAUL gate.

Sue arrives at Paul's gate 37 years too late! Oh well!

"Let's tag after this guy to mailbox."

Sue loves her Beatle cap!

Mail Call!

Sue gets carried away!

All's well that ends well.

Along the way.

"Ah, I see the Celtic Hotel...getting near our St. Margaret's Hotel...My feet are killing me..!"

We journeyed on to our St. Margaret's Hotel by the British Museum. What a lovely LONDON day we had! Tired but contended and happy we made our way up the steps to the entrance. Picking up our key we continued through the dining room and up the stairs to our room for the last time. The lovely bouquet which was sent by a dear friend - Mr. Carpenter, was waiting to greet us. We were so sad to have to leave the beautiful flowers, but did manage to pack the basket in our luggage. Hoping the next occupants would enjoy the flowers too, we left them in water.
Susie was humming some Beatles tunes as she packed, and I was singing - "MAYBE IT'S BECAUSE I'M A LONDONER".
Only time will tell if we will ever be able to return, but we are hoping!
